How this works

Compression happens on your device's own graphics hardware, the same engine your browser uses to draw every image on the web -- nothing is ever uploaded to a server. PNG is a lossless format, so re-saving one as PNG won't shrink it much; for a real size reduction, convert to JPEG or WebP and adjust the quality slider until the preview still looks good to you.
